"Overcomers" Children's Ministry
Overcomers is the name of our Children's Church Ministry. As that is what we see our Children as 'Overcomers' in the Lord. Our desire is to help children to understand the Bible in a simple and fun way and to develop their own relationship with God.
The parent and baby room is equipped with safe/soft baby toys and also has a TV with a LIVE Link to the meeting, so that parents are still able to watch and hear the meeting, while in the room where the babies/toddlers can play. There are also full baby changing facilities in the ladies toilet.
We know that babies and young children cry and make noise, this is only natural and having babies and young children with us at Church is what makes us a family!
So please do NOT let your baby/young child stop you from coming to Church and please feel free to remain with us in the main meeting room if you wish, knowing that the parent and baby room is there for you to use if you would rather take them out of the meeting.
OVERCOMERS - our Children's Church runs EVERY Sunday during our Celebration Service and at most "special" meetings as well.
We are a family based Church and our Children are a massive part of the Church! The Ministry is named “Overcomers” as we aim to teach Children that with God they can live in victory and overcome every situation in life.
We strongly encourage Children to have an active role in Church life and grow into their God given potential from a young age.
The Children remain with us for our Praise and Worship, leaving to then have their own Children’s meeting. These meetings are fully supervised at all times by our DBS checked Children’s Church volunteers. Their meetings are a mixture of creative activities along with fun bible teachings to help them grow in God’s Word. The Children are split into various age groups and are supervised at all time. If you have any concerns or questions about 'Overcomers' please feel free to contact us or see Julie Gregory or any of the Children's Church volunteers at Church on a Sunday, or at any of the midweek meetings.
As “Overcomers” increases and grows, it is our desire/plan to have regular midweek Children's meetings as well.
As well as our regular Sunday “Overcomers” meetings, we have held other fun activities (e.g. Bowling nights, Christian films, meals out, Ultimate Events Christian Concert at Alton Towers and Rock Nations Youth Conference etc.)
Having our own Children’s Ministry is a great blessing to the Church, enabling parents to enjoy the meetings without having the distraction of having to look after their young Children.
So Church, do keep “Overcomers” in your prayers. This is a vital ministry for us and we are determined to reach the Youth of Doncaster and surrounding areas for Jesus Christ!
As well as praying for “Overcomers” you can also do your bit. Do you know any single parents, or have any families living near you?
If so, why not invite the whole family along to Church THIS week?

Overcomers is aimed at young children - from 3 years old - up to School year 6.

(At the moment Overcomers does not run during "our normal midweek meetings", but we are happy to review this if there is a demand for our midweek meetings as well).

Our Overcomers Ministry is headed up by Julie Gregory.
To encourage and reward the Children who attend we have an "Attendance Reward" system, where we publicly recognise the Children for their attendance and they are issued with Certificates and prizes - both sweets and toys, but also Christian prizes - like Christian Activity books/CD's etc.

Volunteering?
We are always needing more volunteers to help out with our growing Overcomers Ministry. So subject to completing a DBS check would you consider volunteering to help out with 'Overcomers'. It will be on a rota and all lessons are already planned out for you, so it is largely a supervising, teaching and encouraging role and watching out for the safety and well being of the Children while in Children's Church.
